Does EDIReader perform validation as it parses ? PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 04 February 2007
EDIReader performs a variety of validity checks as it parses an EDI interchange. Among other things, it confirms proper enveloping segments, matching control numbers, segment counts, and document counts. This is similar to an XML parser that validates an XML document as well-formed.

Fulll EDI compliance checking is beyond the scope of EDIReader and, in fact, inconsistent with the goal of a fast in-memory parser.
